Hermione the Vizsla pup: 2008

Vizz Wizz

I went on my first ever Vizz Wizz, it was brilliant. I met so many other Vizsla's who look just like me!! I even got to meet two of my brothers Duke and Dillon, which was great, it was like we had never been apart. Duke and i look identical, mum and Christine were worried they were going to take the wrong pup home!! Luckily i've got my famous birth mark on my bottom so mum can't loose me!!!

This was all of us at the beginning of the walk, we couldn't wait to get started thats why we couldn't stand still (well thats my excuse anyway!!!)

The views were amazing whilst we were walking and I even saw some goats, they were new to me, very strange looking.

Here we are at the top of this really steep hill. I loved running back down it.

Mum and I posing, everyone kept saying that we look like each other, i don't think i look like a human!! I'm not that hairy am i?!!

I got to run around with my new friends and i even ventured into the stream, it was freezing, but so much fun!!

I think Archie quite liked me!!!

I can't wait to go on my next Wizz Vizz and see all my friends again. See you all in April.

I'm 1!!!

Its my birthday!!

Everyone keeps singing to me and saying i'm grown up!! (not sure about that one!!!)

I've had a really lovely day, i had a nice lay in under my blanket, then went for a long walk were i sneaked into someones garden and ate the left overs they had thrown out to the birds!!! Very tasty. Then mum gave me a birthday cake (it was called a pup cake, from a dog bakery!!) that was even more delicious, i also remembered to make a wish before i blew out my candle. Mum also bought me a new bed to go in the car, which i promise not to chew!! Now i am snuggled up with mum enjoying a cuddle and a rub. This is how life should be, i like having birthdays (although it does feel like this most days!!)

Snowball Fights!!

Its been snowing, horray. When i woke up this morning everything was white, at first i wasn't too sure and kept running back in, but then i remembered just how much fun it is.

I went for a long walk, where i kept taking Grandma ice skating!!! and then i chased a hare and left my mark through the fields.

Mum, Grandma and i played in the garden, having snowball fights and eating the snow (me of course, but you never know!!!)

Now i'm snuggled up by the fire, watching the snow from the window.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone

I decided to dress up as a devil (my normal self!!! haha) We went for a halloween walk and scared a few humans, although i didn't get any of the trick or treats that the children were getting!!! And i was doing all the work!!

But mum had some yummy doggy treats instead.

I wasn't so keen on the witch costume, apparently that should have been my favourite as it is my name sake from Harry Potter!!!

When Natasha and Tom came to stay

I have had so much fun this week with my new friends Tom and Natasha. (Natasha even looks like me, but in a human version!!!)

We have been for great walks in the countryside, we even went to Pets at Home, i met a mouse in a cage, how strange, usually i can chase them, but this one was just going round and round on a wheel!!! Mum quickly dragged me away before i joined them.

I even helped with some baking, Tom wasn't too impressed though, as his spider cake didn't quite look like a spider after my help!!

We are just off for a run in the fields, will put some more photos on later.

We are back, Tom, Natasha, Mum and i played a great game of fetch, but i couldn't get the hang of Rugby!!!

so i just stuck to the tennis ball.

Tom even made some new friends along the way!! (they were rather smelly!!)

I stayed far away from them with Natasha and Grandma.

By the end of the day i was ready to just relax and chill out!

Sock it to them!!!

Today was ironing day in our household, so i thought i'd help Grandma out.

To solve the problem of the huge ironing pile i thought that if i got rid of some of it then that would make life much easier!!!!

So i decided to eat one of the socks!!! Thats right swallow it whole!!!

Apparently my Grandparents were not too impressed with my make life easier trick!!!

So off to the vets we went. I was given an interesting drink, which made me very sick (it was soda crystals and water mixed in a small syringe) and then as if by magic my Auntie Donna's sock came back up!!! (Although i don't think she will be wanting to wear it again)

Mum was not too impressed either with my trick, but she was just more concerned that i was ok and that i didn't need anything drastic done. I don't think i'll be allowed near the ironing again (this is a little like the tennis balls again, i'll never be trusted!!! oh dear!!)

Car Wash

Mum and I decided to wash the car today, well i don't think mum intended on me doing it too, but hey i thought i'd give it a go.

Although i don't think i quite got the idea of it, i'd much rather relax!!! Which i eventually did, from a safe distance in comfort.

Feeling sorry for myself!!!

Sorry i've been quiet for a while, but i've been in Season!!!! Well thats what mum calls it, i call it a nightmare!!!

It was not great at all, my tummy hurt (but i got lots of attention and belly rubs) and i wasn't allowed off the lead for ages, just incase any male dogs got too friendly (if you know what i mean, i most certainly don't, i'm far too young!!!) I also wasn't too fussed about food, it wasn't that high on my list of things to do, i just wanted to sulk and be a little moody!!! Mum said i'm like a teenager already!!!

But apparently i'm all grown up now, so i thought i'd prove a point...

Tennis Balls!!

Mum is never letting me near a Tennis Ball ever again (well not on my own again!!) Usually we just use them in the garden for fetch, but i managed to sneak one into the kitchen the other night and successfully ate half of it!!!

Mum was frantic, as you can imagine, me on the other hand didn't know what all the fuss was about, i felt fine!! At first she thought i'd hidden it, but when she couldn't find it anywhere (and it was purple, so its not going to be that hard to find) she feared the worst. Having read about Charlie and how poorly he had been after eating his, she began reading up lots of things on her computer!! So i was given some (actually nice tasting) salt to make me sick!! Trust me to actually like it, i kept wanting more!! This did not make mum feel anymore at ease!!!

Eventually though after many sleepless hours for mum (not me, i slept like a log) i was finally sick and out came the half a Tennis Ball. (Mum had never been so pleased to see sick, she is strange sometimes) But it saved me going to see the vet, which was a shame because i really like him!!

So now mum is really watching me closely with everything i'm chewing, especially when we are playing fetch, i think the balls are going to be getting a lot bigger from now on!!!

In the field

Me and Smudge (my labrador friend) decided to play in the corn field during our walk today, it was so much fun, we were bouncing around all over the place, sometimes you could see us and then you couldn't.

Then my cousins decided to join us...

I'm not sure who was having more fun?!!!!

Whittlingham

We went for a long walk along the Norfolk broads today.

There were so many ducks to chase!!! and so much water, but mum wouldn't let me in, because she said the swans would eat me!!!! (surely i'm bigger than them!!!)

so i had to watch them instead. We did go paddling together and i got everyone soaked!!

Unfortunately the weather turned stormy and windy, so we had to abandon the walk a little earlier than expected, but we went home and i enjoyed a nice cuddle with mum instead.

This is me and my Nana, it looks like we are both going to be blown away.

The Beach

I went to the seaside. It was rather wet and sticky, but so much fun. I even went in the sea, mum was so proud, it was the first time i have ever ventured into any water (well i was waiting for the right time, but i couldn't tell her that!!)

I played fetch with Grandpa and Nana and even had a little swim.

I really did enjoy it but i didn't like getting my bottom wet!!!

When i got home, everyone knew where i was because i smelt like a fish!!! Mum had to give me several baths before i smelt like me again!!! But it was so worth it. I can't wait to go back.

Duck

A stranger entered my garden today!!! A duck!!! I was a little confused about what it was, but very intrigued!!

I thought i might want to play with me, but it didn't!!!

If only i had wings!!! Not sure mum would like that idea!!!

My Friends the Bennett's

My friends the Bennett's came to visit me and they took me for a great walk in the countryside, although i had to wear my gentle leader (with great regret!!!) because this was the first time they had taken me out and ok, i can be a bit of a pain on the lead at times!!!

Still Teething

My teeth are still causing me pain!!!!

I thought i'd lost them all, but no such luck!!! Mum found quite a few laying around the house when i was smaller but all of a sudden i'm teething again, but now its my back teeth.

I just need something to chew!!!! (and she won't let me chew the table or chairs!!! what is a pup to do!!)

But i have now found the answer to all my prayers...

...a piece of wood. Practical and very useful.

Mum said i could really do with something called Bonjela!!!! A piece of wood will do for me!!!

Henry

My cousin Henry came to visit. It was brilliant, he is so much fun and just loves to play.

He lives in Essex and is a Bulldog, his owner Andrea is my owners cousin. (I can hear you all saying we don't look alike!! so i thought i'd better explain.)

I gave him the grand tour first. (This is my house!!)

We then went for a walk and i was introduced to a new way of drinking water. Out of a bottle!! I've never looked back since, now when we go out i won't drink out of anything else (thanks auntie Andy!!!)
